Heavy duty, high stall, lock-up torque converter for 2004R and 1982-1984 700-R4 27 spline transmissions. This balanced and pressure tested converter has the heavy duty brazed turbine and Torrington bearings. The stall speed on this converter will be 2000-2600 RPM and will be fine for up to 500 hp. Just for a reference, a stock converter will usually have a stall speed of around 1500-1600. Just like all torque converters, your actual stall speed will depend on your vehicle; weight, HP, torque, etc. The more power you have the higher your stall speed. There is absolutely “no” core charge, or need to return a core.
