Vehicles with A904, A727 and 42-46-47RH/RE transmissions may have problems with slippage in reverse, poor cooler charge at idle, and high or low line control. These complaints are often due to excessive wear at the line pressure plug and sleeve. When this sleeve and plug wears, leakage past the plug prevents the pressure regulator valve from properly controlling line pressure. Sleeve and plug allows pressure regulator valve to properly control line pressure. For A727, 42-46-47/RH/RE units, the 22229-01K plug diameter of .200" matches the later OE design to increase reverse boost, while o-ring prevents line pressure cross leaks. For A727 and 42-46-47RH/RE units, the earlier standard OEM .264" diameter plug is now available in 22229-04K.
