Save your worn Powerglide pump cover with the Sonnax finish-in-place clutch drum bushing 28005X. Previously, Powerglide clutch drum bushing journal damage would prevent use of an otherwise good pump cover. 28005X, a finish-in-place bushing for the powerglide resolves this situation. The use of this bushing allows rebuilders to refinish the journal diameter up to .012" undersize. After installation, the replacement bushing is bored to yield .0015"-.0020" clearance with the refinished journal. This precise procedure will further benefit rebuilders by eliminating drum run-out and imbalance due to a bushing I.D. concentricity error.
