The sealing ring surface on the turbine shafts in 4L80-E units can wear because of sealing ring contact, worn stator support bushings or shaft breakage. Sonnax offers a stator support sleeve, 34203-01K, that salvages the stator supports and restores the sealing ring surface for the turbine shaft. This sleeve is a direct replacement for the OEM sleeve, and does not require any machining to install.
