The OEM rear case bushing in the 700-R4/4L60-E transmissions can spin out causing damage to the case. After the case is damaged, it is impossible to reinstall a standard bushing. Bushing spin out may be due to lack of lubrication or too much load for the bearing area. Replace the spun bushing with Sonnax's oversized rear case bushing 35012S. This repair requires that the bushing bore be accurately machined prior to bushing installation.
