Forward clutch failure and overdrive band failure can be the result of servo-pin-to-case-bore clearance. This excessive clearance allows leakage of release oil, which is forward clutch oil. This leakage reduces forward oil pressure and can allow overdrive band drag in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. Replace the OEM servo pin with Sonnax 76833 which has an o-ring to positively seal against the case bore. A snap ring has been provided to secure the piston to the pin.
