The hardened steel TV control valve and the throttle valve plunger continuously reciprocate within the aluminum valve body, wearing the valve body bore. This wear allows throttle valve feed oil to leak past the plunger and exhaust, and line feed oil to leak past the TV control valve and exhaust, resulting in poor line rise. Valves can stick on ridges worn into the valve body, resulting in uncontrollable throttle pressure. Sonnax now offers an oversized TV control valve and throttle valve plunger kit 76970-02K that restores the hydraulic integrity of the circuit. Sonnax reamer kit 76970-TL removes material from the worn bore to allow the installation of oversized TV valves. A replacement spring is included in the kit to accommodate the larger valves.
