The OEM rear case bushings in the Ford C6/E4OD/4R-100 transmissions tend to spin out, causing damage to the case. After the case is damaged, it is impractical to reinstall a standard bushing. Bushing spin-out may be due to lack of lubrication or too much load for a given bearing area. Sonnax has developed an oversized bushing installation system specifically designed for these applications. Bushings available for both 3-groove early design style and 4-groove late model designs. Both one-piece replacement bushings are an improvement over the OEM two-bushing design because of their increased bearing surface area and superior lubrication characteristics. System includes both a custom-designed 15/8" reamer, reamer fixture and installation tool.
