Designed to seamlessly replace its predecessor while maintaining a similar size profile (see part numbers for reference.) Inside, the TC0017 is equipped with industry-leading LuK friction material and best-in-class INA thrust bearings for smooth operation and long-lasting reliability. Its fully furnace-brazed fins maximize durability, ensuring peak performance in any condition. The updated LuK design is versatile, replacing many service OEM SKUs with just one part. This new patent-pending design offers improved reliability in a smaller more efficient package, handling up to 1,000 (700+ft lbs.) Nm of torque. Our unique multi-plate clutch transmits more torque than the OE single plate design. The high-quality Schaeffler friction material provides long life and is suitable for the continuous-slip apply-strategy of the 6L80E family of applications. With TC0017, there’s no need to worry about core shipping or charges. Plus, opting for a new torque converter eliminates the potential issues associated with remanufactured converters, such as premature failure. The new mounting plate system eliminates potential warping and distortion of the cover. Schaeffler updated design has been proven to last 5x as long as a rebuilt converter.
