Insulator, Steel Pop Rivet. Sonnax offers two neutral safety backup insulator service kits 22229-03 and 22229-07K which replace missing, cracked or broken insulators and eliminate the chance of returning fatigued or brittle OE parts to service. Note: The rivet must be installed as described on instruction sheet or damage to the insulator will occur. Ease the insulator into place on the detent lever carefully to avoid damaging the plastic material. Features & Benefits: Direct replacement, no special tools required. Securely fastens to the detent lever (rooster comb) with a 1/8" diameter steel pop rivet. Eliminates searching through cores for a usable detent lever.
