Load conditions and pin wear can reduce available output and lower line pressure. This reduces shift and engagement quality when hot. Sonnax now offers replacement pump slide pivot pins for the 4T60 and 4T60-E transmissions. A solid version 84881 is available for pumps with the brass orificed decrease plug (see illustration below). A grooved version 84881A is available for pumps without this orificed plug. These pins are made from through-hardened steel to prevent excessive wear. Important: Care must be taken to install the correct pin style or line pressure and pump performance will be affected.
