The low/reverse modulator valve plunger uses line pressure to control the position of the low/reverse modulator valve. Due to continuous oscillation of the valve plunger, wear occurs at the ID of the sleeve, and allows line pressure to leak to exhaust. The low/reverse modulator valve is prevented from properly supplying regulated line pressure to the low/reverse clutch, which can cause slippage, burned clutches, and loss of engine braking. The replacement Sonnax assembly restores proper clearances for hydraulic sealing. Features & Benefits: Sleeve is made from highly wear-resistant aluminum. Hard-anodized aluminum valve is tightly toleranced to provide proper clearance with the sleeve, restoring hydraulic integrity.
