The 3-2 control valve spring in late-model 4L60-E and 4L65-E valve bodies often breaks, and can cause a 3-2 bind and/or 2-4 band to overheat. This spring is often found to be broken during valve body service, and OEM replacements are not available. Sonnax now offers a replacement spring 77754-23 for ’96 and up 4L60-E and 4L65-E units. Features & Benefits: Inexpensive replacement for unavailable OEM spring. Salvages valve body core.
